An ancient Roman marble Antonine Period fragmentary face of a male youth with tousled hair, idealized features, full lips and drilled eyes.

Ca. late 2nd century AD.

Height: 7 1/2 in. (19 cm).

The style and depiction is very similar to that of the young emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Formerly in the Barbara Walters collection, New York, acquired in 1990; acquired from Robert Haber, Ancient Art, New York in 1990.
