Roman Silver Spoon
An ancient Roman silver spoon (cochlearium) with an almond shaped, scooped bowl supported by a long slender handle tapering to a point, now bent back. Ca. 1st - 3rd century AD. Length: 5 5/8 in. Formerly in an English private collection; acquired at Bonham's, London, April 21, 2005, lot 394; previously in a Swiss private collection.
