Ionian Greek Lydion
An ancient Ionian Greek lydion with an inverted piriform body set on a small foot, the cylindrical neck with a wide flared lip, with bands of black glaze around the foot, body and neck. Eastern Aegean. Ca. 6th century BC. Height: 4 3/4 in. (12 cm). Intact. Formerly in the collection of Jerome Eisenberg, New York.
