Parthian Silver Vessel with Inlaid Garnets
An ancient Parthian silver vessel cast with bands of prominent circular knobs around the base and rim, with six triskeles set with garnets around the body and a corresponding six point star on the bottom set with a garnet, a cuneiform inscription on the side. Ca. 2nd century BC - 1st century AD. Diameter: 4 in. (10.2 cm). Intact. Formerly in a New York private collection.
