An ancient Canaanite bronze fenestrated axe head with beveled windows, a raised spine, and duck-billed blade. Middle Bronze Age. Ca. 2000 - 1500 BC. Length: 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm). Intact. Confer: O. Muscarella, Bronze and Iron, no. 511 & Lands of the Bible, no. 81 for an example found in Huaran, Palastine. Formerly in a Connecticut private collection.
