An ancient Egyptian blue faience amulet of a falcon-headed goddess, enthroned, wearing a long sheath dress with hands to the sides of her lap.

20th - 30th Dynasty.
Ca. 665 - 343 BC.
Height: 1 7/8 in (4.9 cm).

The identification of this obscure falcon-headed female goddess is uncertain. Perhaps she represents the deity of an Egyptian district or Nome.

Formerly in a French private collection; subsequently in a New York private collection.
