Greek Bronze Illyrian Helmet

An ancient Greek bronze helmet of the Illyrian type, with a quadrangular opening for the face, a riveted border, and parallel raised crest lines over the crown. Sections of embossed gold foil were applied around the face at the time of burial.

Ca. 600 - 550 BC.
Height: 11 in. (28 cm).
