Nazca Polychrome KeroA Pre-Columbian Nazca polychrome pottery kero vessel painted with two shaman figures in elaborate headdresses, with geometric designs above and below. Southern Peru. The Nazca culture thrived on the southern coast of what is now Peru. Artistically the Nazcas are distinguished by their bold abstract designs in both ceramics and textiles. Their pottery was of fine thin walled design and was painted in a wide palette of colors depicting an array of naturalistic and mythological motifs.
