Cypriot Bichrome Amphora
An ancient Cypriot bichrome amphora, the body painted with vertical vegetal motifs and concentric rings of brown glaze.

Bichrome ware originated in early Iron Age Phoenicia and spread to Cyprus where it became for a time the dominant pottery style.
