Egyptian Faience Wedjat Eye AmuletAn ancient Egyptian green faience amulet in the form of a wedjat eye with molded details highlighted in black. Late Period, ca. 700-30 BC. The Wedjat eye represents the eye of the falcon god Horus which was plucked out by Seth and then later restored by Thoth. As an amulet it was thought to bring protection and reconstitution.
