An ancient Egyptian painted wood Canopic chest painted with scenes of the four sons of Horus, a closed temple, and the deceased offering to Osiris, with a Ba Bird on top with high plumed headdress.

Late Period,
Ca. 7th - 1st century BC.
Height: 33 1/4 in. (84.5 cm).

Formerly in the collection of Earl Stendahl (d. 1966), Santa Barbara, acquired in the 1950s.
