An large ancient Boeotian Greek black glazed kantharos, a wine cup, with high attenuated handles. The body is decorated in added white with a band of ivy and vegetal motifs.

Boeotia, Greece.
Ca. 450-425 BC.
Height: 9 1/2 in. (24 cm).

Confer: Louvre Museum, inv. no. MNC 670, a similar kantharos bearing a dedication in the Boeotian alphabet, from Thespiae.
