An ancient Attic Greek large red-figure lekanis of the Otchët Group, with lateral handles and a knob lid that is decorated with an elaborate scene of two seated young brides receiving gifts from winged erotes.

Athens, Attica.
Ca. 375-350 BC.
Width: 11 1/4 in. (28.5 cm).

Confer for another lekanis from the Otchët Group, Metropolitan Museum of Art, inv. no. 17.230.42.

Formerly in the collection of Professor Jorge Silvetti, Massachusetts; previously in a New Jersey private collection; acquired from Venture Gallery in 1994.
