A large ancient Italo-Corinthian large black-figure olpe, a wine pitcher, painted with five horizontal registers of animals including felines, stags, boars, swans, and winged sirens.

Ca. 575 - 550 BC.
Height: 17 1/8 in. (43.5 cm).

Formerly in the Kevorkian Foundation prior to 1968; sold at Sotheby's June, 1968 lot 84; P. Posmick collection; with Petit Musee, Montreal, Canada; subsequently in the collection of Professor Jorge Silvetti, Massachusetts.
