An ancient Roman marble statue of Herakles (Hercules) as a youth with the skin of the Nemean lion tied over his head.

Ca. 1st century AD.
Height: 24 in. (61 cm).

A cult statue of Herakles as a child is thought to have stood in a temple on the Aventine Hill in Rome.

Formerly in the M. A. collection, Paris by 1977.
