Greek Bronze Acrobat

An ancient Greek bronze figure of a nude male, probably an acrobat, with large eyes and wearing a tania in his hair. The extension from the head once held a candelabrum or the pan of an incense burner (Thymiaterion).

Ca. 5th century BC.
Height: 6 5/8 in. (17 cm).

Formerly in a Canadian private collection.
