Etruscan Bucchero Olpe

An ancient Etruscan bucchero olpe, a wine pitcher, with a wide lip, strap handle, and body that tapers to a disk foot. The black glazed-surface has earthen encrustation and white root marks throughout.

Ca. 625-575 BC.
Height: 6 in. (15 cm).
