Silver tetradrachm, 30 mm, 16.04 gm.
Obverse: Head of Athena in Corinthian helmet right.
Reverse: DIOD
Winged Nike with wreath, a pomegranate before.

Ca. 190-36 BC.

Side was founded in the 7th century BC at the site of a good harbor on the southern coast of Asia Minor in Pamphylia. The city declined in the Roman period and became a haven for pirates.
