Laureate cuirassed bust right.
Rev: PROVIDENTIA AVG
Providentia standing left holding rod over globe at left and sceptre.

Struck 229 AD.

Severus Alexander was born in Acre Phoenicia. He was widely accepted for the virtuous nature of his reign. Despite this, he and his wife were murdered by mutinous troops near Mainz, Germany.
