C. Vibius C.f. Pansa
Silver denarius, 18mm, 3.96 gm. Obverse: PANSA Laureate head of Apollo right Reverse: C VIBIVS C Minerva driving quadriga Ca. 90 BC. Vibia was a prominent Plebian family during the Repbulic. Gaius Vibius Pansa was a moneyer in the beginning of the 1st century BC and was proscribed by Sulla in 82-81 BC. A relative (son or grandson?) was consul in 43 BC and fought against Marc Antony.
