Obverse: Horse cantering right.
Reverse: Crested Illyrian helmet right (carinated ridge type), within single lined incuse square.

Ca. 451-446 BC.

Perdikkas II, the son and successor of Alexander I of the Argead Dynasty, was instrumental in forming the Chalkidian League. He was adept at keeping Macedonian intrests from being thwarted by either Athens or Sparta during the Peloponnessian War.
