Our current gallery exhibition is dedicated to the art of ancient America. Included are objects from several different Pre-Columbian cultures dating from the earliest horizons of native American culture to the point of first European contact.
The exhibition includes over forty objects representing the artistic achievements of a variety of Pre-Columbian cultures from the Olmec and Maya of Meso-America to the Inca, Moche and Nazca of South America. Works in a variety of media illustrate the proficiency of Pre-Columbian cultures working in gold, jade, pottery, wood, and stone.
